Retro Revival presents
TIME THE REVOLATOR w/ NORTHERN DRONES + DEATH IN THE SICKROOM + FRANKO FRANKO & MY MIND RACES
Guest DJ Jessie C & Ruairi
Sweeneys Bar, Dame St Dublin.
Doors: 9pm . ADM: €5

TIME THE REVOLATOR: Formed in August 2010 through a joint love for late 80's and early 90's post-punk and alternative rock.
We are influenced by the back-to-the-garage american underground and guitar pop we grew up with.

NORTHERN DRONES: Psychedelic Garage Rock recorded under the stairs! If you dig Spaceman 3, Tame Impala & early Floyd
These are certainly a band to catch live.

FRANKO FRANKO: A throwback to the future perhaps, with streaming sixties harmonies capturing the synthetic love of these modernised days. With humanity´s common consciousness now safely stored on servers in The Cloud, Franko Franko´s flash-fried rock and dream-seeking missives are a welcome hand-carved handout to the shuffling masses.

MY MIND RACES: Alternative post rock 4 piece.

DEATH IN THE SICKROOM: Newly signed to Irish Indie label “Reekus Records” home of Sweet Jane & The Blades this four piece band are Bluebell, Crumlin,Tallaght and Clondalkin. Death In The Sickroom play happy-go-lucky jingle jangle pop songs with underlying themes of violence, sex, isolation and working class life.

LAST WEEK IN FIBBERS 18/1/12

pavilion cork 12/1/13

THANKS TO
Matilda Malleus FOR THESE WORDS ABOUT OF OUR GIG
WITH THE VINCENT(S) LAST WEEKEND AT THE PAVILION CORK

Saturdays are crucial for our survival....

..because Fridays are too close to for calling it a day and Sundays are just plain horrible.
But also because there's always something really good going on at the Pavilion, just before the Crucial party a.k.a "the excuse" to fuck all reason and the reason to fuck all.
On the 12th the local boys The Vincent(s) entertained us with a proper gig. There might have been few wanting to cut off an ear or two. They are dead to me.Finishing off with the most perfect "drumline" Who's that Boy", we all left happy and satisfied and partly deaf.
Opening for The Vincent(s), were the Dublin based Northern Drones who kind of might have maybe made me realize why people do drugs. If you didn't like it, you didn't like it and I'm not even going to explain you why you're wrong. It just felt right, and that's the whole fucking point of music.
